• Bountiful’s Handcart Days kicks off with a week of events. July 23 - Bountiful City Park activities: ticket booth hours, games and activities and food, noon- 10 p.m.; entertainment, noon-9 p.m., Handcart Days Grand Parade, 6 p.m., Main Street from 1500 South to 400 North. Fireworks, dusk, about 9:45 p.m., at Mueller Park Junior High School. July 24 - South Davis Recreation Center events: half marathon, 6:30 a.m., 4th annual 5K, 7 a.m., Pioneer Pete's 1K, 7:45 a.m., public swimming (free to registered runners),10 a.m.-noon. Bountiful Exchange Club Chuck Wagon Breakfast, 7 a.m.- 10 a.m., bowery west of Bountiful Junior High School.

Historical bus tours of Bountiful, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every hour on the hour from Willey Cabin, 800 S. Main Tabernacle Tours, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., every hour on the hour hour, 50 S. Main.

Games and activities, food, entertainment, ticket booth, all 10 a.m.-5 p.m. July 25 - Walking tour of Bountiful Cemetery highlighting pioneers, 5 p.m., 2200 S. 200 W.

July 23

• Heritage Place Round-Up. Stampede on down for food, games, barn dancing to live country-western music, El Durango’s magic show and an “old fashioned raffle.” Heritage Place, 1150 S. Main, Bountiful, 2-6 p.m. All proceeds to benefit Senior Housing Assistance Association helping seniors who live in senior housing stay if they can no longer afford it.

July 24

• Pedal Away Parkinsons in a family-fun bike ride. Proceeds support the local Utah Chapter of the American Parkinsons Disease Association. • Free informal concert at the Brigham Young Historic Park, 8 p.m., featuring On The Air (vocal quartet, Big Band Radio Music of the 1940s). All ages welcome, no tickets needed. Southeast corner of State Street and 2nd Avenue (North Temple).

July 30

• Bountiful Concert in the Park featuring T-Minus 5, vocal/a cappella group, 7 p.m. Bountiful City Park, 400 North, 200 West.

• Free informal concert at the Brigham Young Historic Park, 8 p.m., featuring One Clear Voice (vocal quartet, female recording group, inspirational and contemporary music). All ages welcome, no tickets needed. Southeast corner of State Street and 2nd Avenue (North Temple).

STAGE

July 3-Aug. 28

• The Davis Arts Council presents the musical Pump Boys & Dinettes at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater in Layton (445 N. Wasatch Drive).
