Merle Whitesides Adams Burningham will be celebrating her 90th birthday on May 28. Merle is someone special to all who know her; especially to her large family who she has shared her love with, her wisdom with and her life with. Her family is always growing; she is a loving mother to four children: Jerry (Kathy), Howard (Vicki), Steve (Vickie) and Brenda Wilds (Myron) and an admired grandma to 18 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and thee great-great grandchildren. Merle married Glen Burningham, whom she met while attending Davis High School, and they were later sealed for time and eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple. Glen and Merle were happily married for 59 years until his passing in 1996. Merle was a dietician for over 30 years, working at both South Davis Community Hospital and Lakeview Hospital, where she received several awards in recognition of her service and dedication. In her earlier years she enjoyed volunteering, her various callings in her ward at the LDS church, and she especially enjoyed her calling as a visiting teacher. She has enjoyed her retirement by spending time with her family, making quilts for her grandchildren, cheering on the Utah Jazz, word searches and to this day a puzzle champion! She likely holds an undocumented world record for the most puzzles completed by one person! Words cannot express how much Merle is admired and loved by her family. We have all learned so much from her and are better people because of her being a part of our lives. We all love you so much! Happy Birthday!

Love, your family
