Friday night’s Woods Cross-Bountiful football game is as big as it has ever been. The Wildcats sit with a 3-1 record and in second place in Region 6.
A win over Bountiful will catapult Woods Cross to first place in Region 6 and would certainly be considered a signature victory.
On the Bountiful side of the ball, the Braves have buzz-sawed through the competition scoring 139 points while giving up just 29.
This is definitely the biggest Bountiful-Woods Cross football game in a long time considering what is at stake.
Girls soccer is in a similar situation with the two rivals.
Today’s game between Bountiful and Woods Cross on the turf at Wildcat Stadium will land one team clearly in second place in Region 6, while the loser will drop to third.
Bountiful and Woods Cross are currently in a dead heat for the second spot behind undefeated East.
The Wildcats and Lady Braves each have 24 points in the standings.
In the first meeting between the teams, it was a shot with 14 seconds to play that lifted Woods Cross to victory.
