1966-2008



Kearns ó David was born August 26, 1966 to Howard and Ann Jackson Troop. He grew up learning to love the Lord, to serve Him, to listen to Him, and to pray to Him. He was on his knees in fervent prayer when he quietly passed away on August 30, 2008.

David grew up in Bountiful where he attended Viewmont High School and received his Eagle Scout Award. He was passionate about the Utah Utes and Pittsburgh Steelers.

David went on his mission to Halifax Canada, Nova Scotia area. He served under mission president David E. Sorenson, where he learned when you hear the spirit always act on it. The first day he met his wife, feeling and acting on a prompting, he asked her to marry him. They were married June 8, 1991 in the Mesa Arizona LDS temple.##M:More##

David faithfully served in many callings, his favorite was when he worked with the youth, especially scouting. He loved all people. He served and helped others whenever he saw a need.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Romney Troop, sons, Amos (16) and Issac (12); his parents, Howard Allen and Ann Troop; siblings, Caroline (Kent) Davis, Mary (Jed) Neilson, Lynnae (Chris) Bouwhuis, Bradley (KaDee) Troop, and Steven (Karie) Troop. He was preceded in death by his older sister, Alisa Kay, and grandparents, Amos and Helen Jackson and Paul and Erma Troop.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 11 a.m. the Kearns 4th Ward Chapel, 4232 W. 5015 S., Kearns, Utah. Friends and family may call Friday, September 5, from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful and from 9:30-10:30 at the church prior to services.
