More than 300 children have been recovered so far by the AMBER Alert system, yet it is funded solely by private donations through fund raising efforts.

The Davis Chamber Women in Business Committee has chosen the AMBER Alert system as their fund-raising effort for this year.

Please join Women in Business Committee members for their annual ìCome As You Arenítî Halloween celebration at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, 1803 Woodland Park Drive in Layton on Oct. 25 from 6:30 - 10 p.m.

Admission is $30 and funds go to support the AMBER Alerts system. The event will include DJ James Derrick, comedian Keith Stubbs, a silent auction, costume contest with prizes, dinner, and a cash bar.

This event is sponsored by Hometown Values magazine, The Standard, and Layton Hills Mall. Additional sponsorships are available.

Presentation of the fund raising results will be at the Nov. 13 Women in Business luncheon with guest speakers: Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtliff, Ed and Elizabeth Smart, and Elaine Runyon-Simmons.
