Unfortunately, as contemporaries of L’il Abner, we have changed. Our eyesight, hearing, and reaction times have changed as a result of the unfair ravages of time and gravity. Frequently these changes affect, among other things, our driving skills.
The four-hour AARP Driver Safety classes have been established to help senior drivers become more effective and safe while at the same time providing a discount on auto insurance premiums.
As I recall, L’il Abner never drove a car. But, if he was around today, he would be sure to sign up for one of the Davis County AARP Driver Safety classes listed below:

• June 10 – Syracuse Community Center, 1912 West 1900 South, Syracuse – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 801-614-9660, Option 1, for reservations.
• June 18 – Autumn Glow Senior Activity Center, 81 East Center Street, Kaysville, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 801-544-1235 for reservations.

• West Point: Class will be held upon client demand. Call West Point City, 801-776-0970. Class will be held at West Pont City hall, 3200 West 300 North, West Point. Need at least 10 students to offer the class.
