DAVIS COUNTY — Students in kindergarten through eighth grade can start the day next Wednesday with a free Egg McMuffin, Go-GURT or other menu items.

Local McDonald’s are partnering with Utah Pork Producers, The Dairy Farmers of Utah and Utah PTA to offerfree breakfast items to students who come in with an adult, in a promotion to encourage improved nutrition choices.

“We’re happy to host this breakfast event because it’s so important for kids to have a well-balanced breakfast every day,” said Trevor Roberts, a local McDonald’s owner/operator, as quoted in a release. “McDonald’s supports wholesome eating by offering fruit, vegetables, low-fat and fat-free dairy, and whole grain choices on its menu.”

The promotion runs on Wednesday, Sept. 3, from 6 to 9 a.m. The offer is good while supplies last and there are no substitutions, according to the release.
