BOUNTIFUL – For the next few weeks, I-15 is going to get a little crammed at night.
According to a notice from UDOT, there will be multiple lane closures from 9 p.m. to midnight in the stretch between I-215 and Centerville. The closures will start with single lanes at 9 p.m., but by midnight only one lane will be open in each direction by midnight.
The closures will allow for asphalt removal and replacement, concrete pavement rehabilitation and bridge rehabilitation. Local residents should expect construction noise and mild vibration.
The pavement is also being rehabilitated on the stretch of I-15 between Layton and Clearfield. The inside lanes in both directions will be closed from 9 p.m. to midnight. Electronic signs will be used to alert motorists of closed lanes. The work is expected to end Aug. 21.
