SALT LAKE CITY — Classes to help those interested in family history work are being offered at no charge at the Family History Library of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in August.

The classes will be held for Spanish-speaking patrons and for individuals doing research on ancestors from England, Ireland, Italy or Norway.

In addition, a 90-minute class to help Boy Scouts working on their geneology merit badge is being offered.

The Norwegian series includes topics such as “Norwegian Printed Sources: An Overview,” and “Norwegian Emigration: The Experience.”

Detailed information on class times and dates is available at familysearch.org/locations/saltlakecity-library.

The library is located west of Temple Square, at 35 N. West Temple.
