FARMINGTON – The annual golf tournament hosted by Viewmont High School alum had to be put on hold last year due to damages done on the course.
This year; however, the Viewmont High School Alumni Association is back to host the Fourth Annual golf tournament.
The tournament will take place on Friday, Aug. 15 at Oakridge Country Club in Farmington. The tournament will allow both alum and non-alum of Viewmont High School to take part in this year’s tournament.
The tournament, according to organizer Greg Oman, is a fund-raising effort for scholarships and other projects for Viewmont High School.
“We wanted to stress this year that anyone is invited to join,” said Oman. “We want people to enjoy the course and the tournament.”
The tournament uses a Las Vegas Scramble format. Cost to participate is $100 per person and includes green fees, cart, range balls and lunch.
Golfers must dress according to club standards; no T-shirt, Levi’s or denim is allowed. Collared shirts must be worn and golf shorts will be allowed.
Shotgun start is 8 a.m.
