ReNell Ziegenbusch, 28, passed away at her home in Sugarhouse on July 8, 2014. She was born in Salt Lake City, on April 6, 1986. She grew up in North Salt Lake, attended Woods Cross High School, and graduated from Bountiful High School. She received her Dental Assistant certification and enjoyed working in that field.
“Nellie” had a talent for arts and crafts. She could take ordinary objects and create extraordinary things. She also had a talent for home decorating and fashion. When she wasn’t dressed to perfection, she could be found in her workout clothes. Much of her time was spent exercising and hanging out at the gym. ReNell was a very private person, but enjoyed keeping up with friends and loved ones through social media. She enjoyed spending time and traveling with her boyfriend, Scott, who adored her. She loved small dogs and playing with her nieces and nephew. Summer was her favorite season because she hated to be cold.
ReNell had a special connection to her Grandma “Nellie” whom she was named after. Her name was created by combining her two grandmother’s names Rennie and Nell. Her Grandpa Leo also thought it was special that she was born on his birthday. ReNell was a sweetheart and will be greatly missed. We will always love her and keep her close in our hearts.
ReNell is survived by her parents, David and Elise Ziegenbusch, North Salt Lake, and siblings Sandy (Kirk) Porter, Clinton; Jaynee (Rory) Piontkowski, Bountiful; Justin Ziegenbusch, Murray; Jeremy (Lindsey) Ziegenbusch, South Jordan; and Daniel Ziegenbusch, North Salt Lake. ReNell is also survived by 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, July 12 at the Bountiful Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation for those in attendance and for all the love and support they have received.
