BOUNTIFUL — Phyllis Robins, a member of Soroptimist International of Bountiful, will  travel to Vietnam to assist a group of medical professionals working in villages.

The group will set up health clinics for minor surgeries and dental work, according to information provided by Soroptimists.

The trip is being organized through Children of Peace International to benefit students, orphans and those who suffer from leprosy. Medical professionals and support staff hope to be able to help 200 to 300 patients in seven or eight villages.

Robins’ trip is sponsored, in part, by the local Soroptimists, who hold fundraisers throughout the year and use the money they raise to benefit women and girls. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Bountiful organization.
