CLINTON - Police say a man robbed a Clinton credit union Thursday evening.
According to Clinton Police, the robbery happened at the Mountain America Credit Union at 1727 W. and 1800 North at about 4 p.m.
Police say the suspect walked into the building and paused to wait as the teller finished a phone call. Surveillance photos show the man using a cell phone as he waited, before police say he approached the teller and handed her a note that said he was robbing the credit union.
Police did not know if the man was armed, but said the teller submitted to his demands and gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say the man was seen leaving on foot eastbound on 1800 North.
Police immediately responded and searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The man was described as tall, with a dark complexion and dark hair.
Police asked anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to call 801-451-4151.
