WOODS CROSS — Summer is the perfect time to show off your gardens.

Woods Cross is giving a carefully selected group of residents that opportunity with their upcoming garden walk, set for June 27 from 7-9 p.m. and June 28 from 9-11 a.m.

“We have clay soil here, and it can be hard to grow things,” said Paula Kopp, who organizes the event. “The garden walk gives people the chance to get ideas and see how other people did things.”

Four of the houses are being featured for their flower beds, though one house is focused exclusively on the vegetable garden.

The houses included in this year’s tour belong to Reed and Candy Hawkes (2226 S. 760 West), Dave and Pam Fleishman (1763 S. Sorrento Drive), Kay and Gaylynn Christensen (1550 S. 580 West), William and Christie Spencer (1696 S. 2095 West) and Larry and Dalene Widerburg (557 W. 1880 South).
