NORTH SALT LAKE — Former Bountiful mayor Joe Johnson will be the featured speaker at a leadership workshop for students, an event organized by Daci Hughes, a recent graduate of Bountiful High.

There is no cost for the workshop, which Hughes is holding specifically for students in fourth through sixth grades.

“I have attended leadership training in the past and realized there is a need in our community for students of this age group to learn how to effectively and appropriately utilize their leadership skills,” said Hughes.

The topic of the workshop is, “How to be a Leader without Being the Boss!”

It will be held Wednesday, June 11, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at Wasatch Peak Academy, 414 N. Cutler Drive, North Salt Lake.

The workshop will include “great information and fun activities,” according to Hughes.

Preregistration is required, and can be done at daciisajoy@yahoo.com.
