WOODS CROSS – The Woods Cross Police Department has a new tool to help keep kids off drugs.

Woods Cross High School Resource Officer Jim Linton was on hand as a new Sion FRS was donated by Toyota of Bountiful and retrofitted as a police car last week.

For the past 1 1/2 years, Linton has worked to build a good rapport with Woods Cross High School students, while dealing with school-related traffic infractions and more.

This fall he will he will start teaching  D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) at Woods Cross Elementary School.

Mayor Rick Earnshaw and City Manager Gary Uresk expressed appreciation for the generous gift to the city’s law enforcement program.
