SYRACUSE – Police say one man confessed to committing a recent armed robbery at Syracuse Dairy Queen, leading to three arrests.

According to a release from Syracuse spokesperson Officer Erin Behm, on Friday, May 23rd, 19-year-old Joel Martinez approached a South Ogden police officer performing a traffic stop and advised him that he wanted to confess to a crime in that he committed in Syracuse at the Dairy Queen on the 15th of April.

Behm said the officer contacted Syracuse Police Department and after Joel was interviewed, police determined that there were two other suspects, 19-year-old Federico Urquijo and a 17-year-old juvenile female who, after being interviewed, admitted to having played a role in the robbery.

The release said two adult suspects were booked into the Davis County Jail on Aggravated Robbery charges and the juvenile was booked into Farmington Bay Juvenile Correctional Facility on the same charge.
