BOUNTIFUL – A 14-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after colliding with a car about to make a right turn at the intersection of Main Street and 400 North in Bountiful.

According to Deputy Pope with the Davis County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was riding his bike west on the sidewalk along 400 N. when he turned right to cross the street.

Pope said the boy failed to stop at the crosswalk, and collided with a car making a right turn from Main Street onto 400 North.

Bountiful Police were also on the scene, and the boy was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Pope said the boy's injuries were not life-threatening, and that an investigation was underway.
