Terry Lynn (Telford McBride) Jones passed away peacefully in her sleep on Mother’s Day. We could not think of a better present for her on this special day as we celebrate her return to our Heavenly Father, Robert and Wanda Telford, her parents; Milt Jones, her eternal companion, and other loved ones family. She lived a life worthy of the presence of the Father.
Terry’s six children were from her first marriage to Michael McBride. Her children Mike (Rani), Jon (Jane), James (Wendy), Robert (Amy), Daniel (Darlene) and Suzette love and cherish their mother. Terry’s marriage and sealing to Milt brought his loved four children into her life; Jim (Beverly), Russ (Nadine), Julie (Steve), and Kristie. She has 30 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren. She is survived by her six siblings; Robert, Richard, Paul, Ted, Michael and Kathryn.
Terry’s church service included pianist, organist, choir director, Primary President and teacher, Young Women’s leader, visiting teacher, and temple worker. She served a mission with Milt in the Toronto, Canada Temple. She wrote and directed winning “Road Shows” in the once small town of Alpine, Utah. Her civic service included PTA President and special education teacher in junior high for 10 years. In her later years Terry loved to travel; especially the trips that included genealogy work. Most of all, she enjoyed her trips with all her grandchildren to the magical world of Disney.
Terry would want her wonderful hospice nurses at Valeo thanked. She spent only a few weeks with Jeff, Martha and Anne, but loved them so. We thank them along with Holly and Cory. We also thank the members of Terry’s ward, and especially Bishop Hunt. Special, special thanks to Ron and Susan Wicks for your tireless love and service to our mother! Thank you Aunt Kathy, Suzette, Mandi and Dr. Shelly Ebert for all you have done over the long months and days in caring for and fulfilling Terry Lynn’s wishes to a “T.”
