LAYTON - A big crowd helped raise money during the Davis Education Foundation’s annual gala Friday night.
The event drew the largest crowd to date, according to Jodi Lunt, foundation director.
Entertainment was provided by Davis County students and many of the silent auction gift items were prepared by individual district schools. The gala netted the foundation a record $170,000 so far, said Lunt.
“We have great community support,” said Lunt. “We’re in a very generous community. They invest in the future. It’s pretty heartwarning.”
Proceeds fund needs in classrooms not covered by public monies.
