KAYSVILLE -  A bid was due to be approved by the Davis County Commission Tuesday, as the Clipper went to press.

Construction on the 16,000 square-foot building at the city’s central Heritage Park is due to start soon, possibly within weeks, said County Planning Director Barry Burton. Completion could be by next April or May.

He said nine bids were received, all close to the $3.6 million range. Total project cost, with furnishings, is projected at about $4 million.

UPDATE:

The issue was tabled during the county commission meeting on Tuesday, which means the project is still pending.

Stay with the Clipper for updates on this story.
