BOUNTIFUL - Registration begins next week for families interested in enrolling their children in Title I Preschool during the 2014-15 school year.

There is no cost for the preschool to families who live within Title I school boundaries.

When registering, families should bring proof of residence within school boundaries, immunization records and birth certificates, according to information provided by Brett Lund, specialist at the Family Enrichment Center.

Families living within the boundaries of Whitesides, Lincoln, Doxey, Antelope, King, Crestview, Fremont and Adelaide elementary schools can register their preschoolers on Monday, April 14, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the preschool classroom in their boundary school.

Registration for preschoolers living within the boundaries of Wasatch, Vae View, Holt, Layton, Sunset, Washington, Meadowbrook and South Clearfield takes place on Monday, April 21 from 1:30 to 4 p.m., also in the preschool classrooms of each school.

Preschools in the Title I program “are involved in developmentally appropriate activities designed to enhance growth and cognition through hands-on learning,” according to Lund. The focus is kindergarten readiness.
