BOUNTIFUL - It’s the perfect chance to get a jump start on your Easter celebrating.

The Bountiful City Youth Council will hold their annual Bunny Hop April 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new pavilion at Bountiful City Park. There will be two egg hunts, as well as a variety of activities for all ages.

“It’s been growing a lot in the past couple of years,” said Bountiful City Youth Council Mayor Grant Brinkerhoff.

The first egg hunt, which is intended for younger kids, starts at 12:30 p.m. Older kids (up to the age of 12) can participate in the egg hunt that begins at 12:45 p.m. Participation in either hunt costs $1.00 per child.

“Last year we gave all the kids stamps,” said Brinkerhoff. “We say ‘go,’ and all the kids start running and grabbing eggs.”

Other activities include a bounce house, fish pond, cupcake walk, sack races, beanbag toss, face painting and more.

“I love the fish pond,” said Brinkerhoff.

Thanks to a donation of eggs from a local business, this year’s Bunny Hop will also include an egg toss.

“It has the same quality as a water balloon toss, except that it’s messier,” said Brinkerhoff. “Kids love it.”

Hot dogs and chips will be available for purchase. Tickets are 25 cents each, with most activities requiring one or two tickets to participate in.

“The fish pond and bounce house will probably be two,” said Brinkerhoff.

Bountiful City Park is located at 400 N. and 100 West, next to the South Davis Recreation Center. For more information, visit
