Troy Michael Wilson, born July 2, 1978 in Salt Lake City, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 31, 2014 in Sandy. Troy is the son of Brent Dean Wilson and Cathy Lynn Madsen. He married Erin Eastman March 17, 2005 in Bountiful, and they were sealed as eternal friends and companions on November 13, 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Troy and Erin were dedicated, loyal, supportive and loving of one another through many trials. Troy was full of kindness, charity and goodness. He served all those who he came in contact with in special ways. He served in his church callings faithfully and always to the best of his ability. He had a unique perspective, a keen mind and a love of learning.
Troy and Haley had a unique father/daughter relationship. They enjoyed hiking, fishing, shooting guns, four-wheeling and any outdoor activity at the Veyo Ranch. Troy was adventurous and spent his free time traveling, gardening, hunting and camping in the Uintas with his dad and brothers.
Troy graduated from Highland High School and attended the University of Utah. He worked for the Ken Garff Automotive Group for many years, and at the time of his death he was a Dispatch Supervisor for UPS, where he made many close lifelong friendships.
Troy is survived by his wife, Erin and daughter Haley of Bountiful, his mother Cathy of West Valley, his father, Brent (Cindy) of West Jordan, brother Shane (Kathy) of Lehi and grandmother, Ladeen Hunter of Salt Lake City. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and family members who love him very much.
He is preceded in death by his brother Brandon, grandparents Garney and Loa Fae Madsen, Joel Wilson and father-in-law, Dan R. Eastman.
A viewing was held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 245 North Main, Bountiful, Utah on Sunday, April 6, 2014 and on Monday April 7, 2014 from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Bountiful 9th Ward LDS Chapel, 585 East Center Street, Bountiful. Troy will be honored at the Steelfist MMA Fight on April 19, 2014 at the Davis County Legacy Center.
