SALT LAKE CITY – Applications are now being accepted for the Days of ’47 Royalty Pageant.
Three young women between 19 and 25 will be selected to represent Utah, the Days of ’47 and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers at the pageant.
Participation is open to young women regardless of religious or ethnic background, who have pioneer ancestry, according to a press release. Pageant organizers plan to select women who “exemplify the high standards of pioneers past and present.”
Educational scholarships will be awarded to the queen and two attendants.
