WOODS CROSS -- A pilot is reportedly OK after his single-engine plane went down in a field near SkyPark Airport on Sunday afternoon.

The 42-year-old pilot reported he was losing power shortly after he took off, according to Woods Cross Police Officer Chris Hoffman. The plane went down just east of Redwood Road near 500 South, at 2:05 p.m.

"He was able to get himself out (of the plane) with no injuries," Hoffman said. The pilot is from Utah but Hoffman didn't know what city he is from.

The plane flipped upon landing and landed upside down. There is some damage to the plane, Hoffman said.

The Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating.
