FARMINGTON - Principals from Davis County School District schools accept accolades for the academic achievements of their students.

“We wish we could give you a million dollars,” said Tamara Lowe, president of the Davis School Board.

“Instead you get a banner,” she quipped.

The learning First Achievement Award is presented to schools whose UCAS (Utah Comprehensive Accountability System) scores show high achievement and growth.

Eight elementary schools, one junior high and one high school received the award.
