Stepfamilies the focus of six-week course

KAYSVILLE – Issues relating to stepfamily relationships will be explored at free classes held in the Family Enrichment Center.

The course begins Jan. 21 and runs Tuesdays through Feb. 25 at the center, 320 S. 500 East in Kaysville. 

Communication, conflict management, ex-spouses, financial issues and parenting non-biological children are topics that will be covered in the classes, according to a release.

The program is being presented by SmartSteps, in partership with Utah State University.

Topics are oriented to remaried couples, stepfamilies and cohabitating couples with children.

Classes run concurrently for adults and youth ages six to 18. Free childcare is available for children under five. The classes run from 6 to 8 p.m. and include dinner.
