Bountiful ties with Clearfield on final match pin
The Bountiful Braves were down by six points and needed to get a pin in the final match of the night just to tie the Clearfield Falcons.
Bradley Dyer was able to do just that, pinning Clearfield’s Aaron Burt in the 132-pound match to earn six points and end the dual in a 42-42 tie.
The Braves started the dual with four straight pins by Conner Arvidson (138 pounds), Jeff Adams (145 pounds), Lamar Gimmeson (152 pounds) and Sergio Rodriguez (160 pounds).
Clearfield earned three pins and a forfeit in the next four matches before Lafitani Taufa pinned Boedy Dalton at 285 pounds to take the lead again.
Logan Swallow and Dylan Arnold won the next two matches via pin a forfeit, respectively, before Zach Walker pinned Braxten Westenskow in the 126 pound match for six points.
Daxton Arnold pinned Dylan Wall to give Clearfield the lead before Dyer closed out the dual with the match-tying pin.
