FARMINGTON - Charges of rape were filed Tuesday against a Davis High School English teacher, accused of having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old male student.

34-year-old Brianne Land Altice of South Weber was charged with three counts of first-degree felony rape for allegedly having sex with the student on at least three occasions between January  and September of this year.

Altice as arrested on Oct.  28, following an investigation by Kaysville Police.

The probable cause statement said Altice admitted to having sex with the student twice during rhe time frame.

Altice has worked for the Davis School District since 2004 and has been teaching at Davis High since August 2012.

She was placed on paid administrative leave by the Davis School District.
