KAYSVILLE – The Davis High girls’ cross-country team wasn’t about to slow down just because the state season ended.

The team finished third at the Nike Cross Nationals in Oregon, the highest ranking any girls’ team from Utah has ever achieved. The achievement caps off a record-setting season featuring a state title win and several all-state honors for individual runners.

“This was such a great season because of teamwork,” said Coach Corbin Talley. “It was a team that was willing to work and sacrifice and hurt for each other. The girls were unselfish and always looking for ways to make their teammates better.”
