CLINTON – A woman was injured about 8 p.m. on Thursday, during a pre-Black Friday sale, when she was trampled by other shoppers at the Clinton Walmart, 1632 N. 2000 West.

Shoppers were eager to get a tablet on sale for $49. The woman, a Walmart employee, was shopping on her own time when the incident occurred.

A video posted on YouTube shows a mob crowding the woman and police shouting at the crowd to “get back,” and “everybody back off,” as they tried to aid the woman.

Then, a woman is heard telling shoppers that a line is forming elsewhere for the tablets.

The store had a second display of the tablets, but shoppers had to pay for them and then receive the tablet at a later time.

Police said the woman was not injured and was not taken to the hospital, but was taken to the back of the store to rest and recover.
