BOUNTIFUL – The Thanksgiving holiday was right around the corner for high school hockey teams this season.

Right before the break, however, one team from the Davis County area decided to hit the ice one last time.

Viewmont, which sits atop the North Division standings at 4-0 (7-1 overall) played against Brighton Wednesday night at the South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful.

The Vikings only loss so far is to Uintah, a 3-2 defeat that occurred on Oct. 11.

They will return to the ice on Wednesday, Dec. 4 against the Salt Lake Independent Sabres.

That game will be played at the recreation center at 8 p.m.

The Davis Darts, who have dropped four straight since Oct. 30, will not be back on the ice until Dec. 4 against Northern Utah Independent.

Davis is currently 3-4-1 overall, and 0-4 in Division play.

The Davis County Indepdent Eagles will also play after the Thanksgiving holiday. They are scheduled to face Judge Memorial on Monday, Dec. 9 at the Steiner arena in Salt Lake City.
