FARMINGTON – The Davis County 2014 Budget Hearing is set for Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. in the County Commission Chambers. They are on the third floor of the Administration Building, 61 S. Main Street in Farmington.
No property tax hike is proposed as a part of the $109.2 million budget. That figure includes all departmental budgets, including the library, which levies its own tax.
No cost-of-living increase is proposed for employees. However, a merit increase will be offered to those meeting that performance standard, said County Clerk/Auditor Steve Rawlings.
“One of the highlights is that next year, we will be working on the new Kaysville Branch Library,” he said.
It is due to open in mid-2015.
