After finishing off their respective seasons last week, only Woods Cross was left off the playoff bracket, suffering a loss to Highland last Thursday.
Davis loses to Northridge, claims No. 4 seed in 5A playoffs
The Lady Darts had an opportunity last Thursday to claim the No. 3 seed from Region 1 heading into the State 5A girls’ soccer playoffs.
Instead, a 2-1 loss to the Northridge Knights had them in the playoffs as a No. 4 seed as they played Riverton in the first round Tuesday.
Results of that match were not available at press time.
Northridge’s Adrianna Arrambide and Courtney Wayment scored a goal each for the Knights to earn the No. 3 seed from the region.
Maddie Garlock scored the only goal of the match for Davis. She finished the regular season with 10 goals scored.
Woods Cross out of the playoffs after loss to Rams
Instead of settling things with a coin flip, the Woods Cross Wildcats and Highland Rams girls’ soccer teams battled it out on the field for the right to go to the 4A State playoffs.
After a back-and-forth battle, Highland scored the game-winning goal with 10 minutes remaining in the match, and held on to win 3-2.
Alli Kooyman scored the eventual game-winner for the Rams, giving her team the No. 4 seed from Region 6 heading into Tuesday’s opening round.
The Wildcats initially fell behind 1-0 after the first half, but battled back to tie the game at 2-2 before Kooyman’s goal.
Woods Cross finished the season 9-8 overall, and were 9-5 in Region 6 play.

Both the Viewmont Vikings and Bountiful Braves girls’ soccer teams finished the regular season with wins last week.
Viewmont shutout Northridge 1-0, and Bountiful shutout Woods Cross 2-0. Both games were played last Tuesday.
For the Lady Vikings, Karrie Pead kicked in her seventh goal of the season against the Knights. Haley Johnson earned a shutout at the net, finishing the regular season with nine.
Bountiful’s win against Woods Cross saw Cierra Martin and Miranda Tesch both score a goal for the Lady Braves.
