The Weber Basin Water Conservancy District will stop delivering irrigation water and start draining its systems on Oct. 1.
“Due to the size of our system, it takes several days to complete the shut-down. After your system is completely drained, we strongly suggest your valves be returned to a closed position, as users are responsible for any damage due to water entering their systems any time of the year,” according to the notice.
The district serves parts of Centerville, Farmington, North Layton, South Layton, West Bountiful, Haven and Woods Cross but other companies serve places such as Bountiful and Farmington east of I-15, Centerville south of 1,000 north, South Weber north of Deer Run Drive, Clinton, West Point and Kaysville. For more information, visit weberbasin.com.
A notice published in the Sept. 19 edition of the Clipper on page 19 listed the shutoff date incorrectly.
