WOODS CROSS — It’s believed the alleged shooting of a 23-year-old Hispanic male Tuesday afternoon in Woods Cross was self-inflicted, a police spokesman said.

“We’re not looking for any suspects, have no suspects,” Officer Chris Hoffman told the Clipper Wednesday morning. A shoulder injury resulted from the alleged shooting.

“He is still uncooperative” in talking with police, Hoffman said of the victim. “I would guess, but we’re not positive, that the gun shot was self-inflicted.”

The homeowner and others contacted have said they don’t know how the injury occurred. No one was at the home in the 1450 W. 1300 South neighborhood when police responded about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The man was sitting on the front lawn of a nearby home when police arrived.

Police found a weapon and blood, in the home, Hoffman said. The man was taken to Intermountain Medical Center where the officer said he was in stable condition.
