BOUNTIFUL — Chobani, Inc. issued a recall of all types of its Greek yogurt on Thursday, Sept. 5, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The product is distributed out of Twin Falls, Idaho and sent nationwide. The recall comes after the product packages bloated and swelled and some customers complained about mold and illness, according to a press release from the FDA. The products in question have “best by” dates of either Sept. 11-13 or Oct. 7-13.
"Our thorough investigation has identified a type of mold commonly found in the dairy environment. The product in question is less than 5 percent of our production and is limited to products produced at our Idaho facility, which accounts for only one third of our production capacity," Chobani said in a press release.
