August 10, 1971-August 12, 2013

Lora passed away peacefully in the presence of family members two days after her 42nd birthday. She loved life and was very active in spite of her mental and physical handicaps. Lora never let these prevent her from doing things. She loved to exercise and to go on long walks.

Lora was involved in serving others in many ways. She went on five LDS service missions, loved going to church and filling assignments. She loved her mother and was a big help to her around the house. When asked if she would be willing to do something, she often replied “I’d be honored to.”

Lora loved animals and had three cats. She took care of them, loved holding them and having them in her room. Some of her favorite things to do were to go to the temple, do family history, go to the family cabin and go to the beach for family reunions. She especially liked going on a “Slurpee Run” with her cousins.

Lora had many good qualities. She was sympathetic of others and it didn’t take a lot to make her happy. She was very punctual and organized. She liked to learn new things and tried to improve herself daily. She loved everybody and was always giving hugs.

Because of health problems, Lora spent a lot of time at the doctor’s office and the hospital. She loved the doctors and nurses who cared for her. Her family is grateful to them because they allowed us to have her with us for a much longer time than was expected.

Lora loved to learn. Some of her favorites were the Book of Mormon and books about history. She especially enjoyed reading about the Civil War and the founding fathers.

She loved to watch sports, even teams she had never heard about. Her favorite teams were BYU, the Utah Jazz and the New York Yankees.

She is survived by her mother, Judy Kelly, step-father, David Kelly; father, Jack McIntosh; brother, Byron; sister-in-law Eloisa and nephew and niece, Alex and Chelsea McIntosh.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. in the North Canyon 5th Ward, 2505 S. Davis Blvd. with a viewing prior from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Bountiful Cemetery.

Lora, you loved life to the fullest. We love you and you will be greatly missed.

Lora Lynn was such an inspiration and testament that the eternal soul is stronger than our imperfect mortal bodies! Lora stood firm in her love and belief in the Savior. She also exemplified His life by the way she boldly reached out to others in love.

We'll miss her but rejoice with her in the freedom and complete comfort and exhilaration she must be experiencing.

Our love and prayers are with your family,

Dave and Nannette Hansen
