CENTERVILLE — A geotechnical firm has been hired in an attempt to solve the mystery of pooling water and its ill effects on the Centerville Branch Library parking lot.
The Davis County Commission approved an agreement with Summit Engineering Services for $3,200, Tuesday.
“There has been some extraordinary deterioration,” County Library Director Chris Sanford said.
There often is standing water in the parking lot, which has been in place for only seven years С since the library was built.
Previous tests have proven to be inclusive, she said.
The parking lot comes under the county’s responsibility. Maintaining landscaping around the library is handled by the City of Centerville.
The library is at 45 S, 400 West in Centerville.
