LAYTON – A project on State Road 126 between Layton and Clearfield could impact motorists for two months.

The Utah Department of Transportation is paving SR 126 (Layton Main Street, Clearfield State Street) from Church Street in Layton to 300 North State Street in Clearfield, according to a UDOT press release. The project is meant to rehabilitate the existing roadway and extend pavement life.

Work is scheduled to take place primarily during the nighttime hours Mondays through Fridays from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. On Sundays, work will be done from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and be aware of their surroundings. UDOT also advises motorists to use alternate routes when possible.

The project is expected to take 65 days to complete.
