NORTH SALT LAKE — Construction crews work on the new Deer Hollow Detention Basin in North Salt Lake. The project is part of an expansion of the city’s water system, meant to bring secondary water to the homes in the hills on the city’s east side. Former city council member Lisa Watts Baskin said that residents in the area are complaining about the basin, and planned to attend Tuesday night’s public information meeting about the project to express their displeasure. The meeting was held after press time, but check davisclipper.com for updated news on the basin debate.
