Crime Briefs: Man pleads not guilty in attack

FARMINGTON – A man accused of slitting the throat of another man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and not guilty to interference with a police officer. on Tuesday.

William Thomas Dominguez, 31, was arrested June 10 after he allegedly slit the throat of a Clinton man in the early morning hours.

Police said Dominguez had gone to the home to speak with his brother, but the victim answered the door and Dominguez allegedly demanded to see his brother. He then allegedly grabbed the man and slit his throat.

The victim refused to go to the hospital.  His injuries were not life threatening, police said.

Dominguez is being held in the Davis county Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
