SALT LAKE CITY — Handbells will ring out on Friday, May 31, when the Bells on Temple Square present its annual spring concert, “Bells in Motion.”
The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Salt Lake Tabernacle.
The concert will feature a variety of music, including “Allegro con moto,” a fast, lively piece by Jason W. Krug and two pieces from Leroy Anderson, “Syncopated Clock,” and “The Typewriter.” Both pieces simulate the items in their title.
The evening will wind up with two familiar pieces: “You Raise Me Up,” made famous by Josh Groban, and “Flight of the Bumblebee,” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
Free tickets may be obtained through the Internet or by calling 801-570-0080. There is a limit of four tickets per person.
The concert lasts approximately 90 minutes.
