SALT LAKE CITY — The impact of the federal health care reform on employers will be discussed in a free breakfast seminar May 22 in Salt Lake City.
It will be held at the Department of Workforce Services, 1385 S. State Street, 7:30-9 a.m.
Brian Pinheiro, a managing partner at the national Ballard Spahr,, will lead the discussion. He will focus on immediate and long-term impact on employer-sponsored group health plans; employer plan-required benefits, dependent coverage, and reporting requirements; employer and individual mandates, employee and small-employer subsidies; and health information technology and electronic medical records.
Questions and answers will also be taken on issues not directly related to the above topics, a Department of Workforce Services press release said.
Pinheiro is the practice leader of his firm’s employee benefits and executive compensation group.
