Centerville, Utah — Gordon “G.O.” passed peacefully in his seep on the morning of Sunday, March 17, 2013.
He was born May 29, 1934 to Lorin and Margaret Wilson in Salmon, ID. Grew up in Challis, Idaho and moved to Utah where he graduated from Logan High in 1952, attended USU, served in the LDS Great Lakes Mission. Served in the US Army in CA, where he met his wife Noreen. Gordon was a great example to all who met him. He was a dedicated worker in the SLC and Bountiful Temple.
Gordon worked for the Western/Union Pacific RR as a conductor and brakeman for over 30 years.
He raised his family in Elko, NV, Manteca, CA and Centerville, UT.Gordy always ate desserts first.
He had a very optimistic outlook on life and what it had to offer, an infectious smile. He loved skiing, swimming, golf, tennis, fishing, hunting, dominos and playing cards. (He was always HAPPIEST to be the WINNER) He was always reading a book; anything from Louis L’Amour, self- improvement, and Gospel Doctrine. If the TV was on it was a Western. He was a faithful member of the South Davis Recreation Center, “The Bubble” and a frequent guest at the Bountiful Senior Center. We appreciate the friendship shown to him.
He is survived by his wife, Noreen, five children; Sue, Beth, Kent (Ann), Lori, James (Melinda), 14 grandchildren, one great granddaughter and his little sister Karen Seneca.
