FARMINGTON — Joshua Carl Henry, 38, pleaded guilty to amended charges of assault and forgery last week in 2nd District Court.
Henry, of Salt Lake City, will be sentenced on April 16.
He is accused of shooting a man at a party in West Point on Sept. 1. Court documents say that a bullet grazed the victim’s face. He was also hit in the chest.
He was originally charged with first-degree felony attempted murder, third-degree felony sale or transfer of a firearm to a restricted person, and a class A misdemeanor giving false personal information to a police officer.
The charges were amended on Feb. 26, and now include one second-degree felony count of forgery and one third-degree felony count of aggravated assault.
