FARMINGTON -- A Layton man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Randy Dee Long, 36, was arrested last week after a joint investigation of the Davis Narcotic Strike Force, Weber County and federal agents. He allegedly was in possession of one-quarter pound of methamphetamine. The crime is a first-degree felony. Long was also charged with possession of a firearm by a restricted person and possession of drug paraphernalia. As a result of the FBI's involvement, federal charges may be filed.
