That's encouraging news, especially with recent downturns in several sectors of the economy. In an effort to keep that dynamism going strong, the Davis Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the first annual Business 2 Business Expo on Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Davis Conference Center in Layton. The event will feature exhibits and demonstrations by more than 40 diverse local businesses.
"Imagine dozens of businesses of all sizes from all parts of the county. Now array them in front of you in one room with seminars, food, and networking opportunities along the side. That's the Davis Business 2 Business Expo," said Davis Chamber President John Pitt.
"There are nearly 7,000 businesses in Davis County and every one of them is a potential customer to every other business. The goal of the Expo is to help Davis businesses build their customer base through face-to-face connections with each other and with the public," explained Chamber Events Director Jeanie Shehan-Bosen.
"The community as a whole benefits through a strong and well-connected business sector," she continued.
The Davis Business 2 Business Expo runs Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Davis Conference Center, 800 Heritage Park Blvd. in Layton. In addition to business exhibits, the Expo will feature seminars on the state of Davis County's economy by County Commissioner Louenda Downs and on marketing strategies by the University of Phoenix.
Admission to the Expo and all of the related events is free. More information is available online at www.davischamber
