KAYSVILLE -- As part of ongoing construction of the 200 North overpass, here, a planned power outage will be staged Friday, June 1 at midnight, through Saturday morning, June 2, at 6 a.m.

A city spokesperson says a "large portion of the city will ned to be turned off. Two new 90-foot transmission poles need to be installed to maintain the proper clearances for the 46,000 volt transmission line to cross above the overpass."

All residents and businesses of the city have been notified of the outage. Prior outages were conducted earlier in connection with the overpass, which is due to be completed by this fall.
